SAC Recognized for Being LGBTQ Friendly School

圣安东尼奥 大学 has been recognized as being an LGBTQ friendly institution by the 校园骄傲指数, which maintains a national ranking of colleges and universities based on policies and programs that foster a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQ students.

SAC获得了4分.5 star out of a possible 5-star rating and received Premiere status from the Index.

SAC is the only community college in the state to be included in the 校园骄傲指数. It is one of only 13 colleges in Texas to receive the ranking and one of only two in 圣安东尼奥 make the list, the other being Trinity University.

According to Jacob 援助an-Martinez, director of the Office of Student Life, SAC was required to submit documentation and assessment of its LGBTQ friendly policies to be considered for the Index. SAC received high marks for developing several programs and initiatives. 这些包括:

• Expanding an advisory group for all LGBTQ Issues.
• Creating a program for LGBT Staff/Faculty mentors for LGBTQ students
